Accommodation and Food
Unlike other countries lodges and guest house are seldom seen during the trek. For all your expeditions and explorations, we are equipped with the best accessories. We would take no chances with your safety and comfort and neither with your aspirations.
Having ensured the quality of the equipment; we have tents ideal for harsh weathers and environments. Come along the mattresses; Wait! Aren’t you here to experience the true nature and wilderness? That’s it. So we give we do, the true experience. You do have a sleeping bag – bring it along!
Gas cylinders are carried along for cooking; we would not want to treat you on cost of our nature, right. A set of dining table, chairs will be right beside you in a dining tent wherever you halt.
Eating well on a trek is very important, and a healthy appetite is always good sign. So to nurture your appetite we have fantastic cooks (all trained and certified by the Tourism Council of Bhutan). So the food is wholesome and sure to delight you. Fresh vegetables, variety of meat (fresh and dried), eggs, dried vegetables and leaves and most convenient canned food are some of the recipes to choose from. Nevertheless, you could bring along Choco-bars, energizers and packaged drinks if you wish.
Ok let me list for you some of our trek menus:
Breakfast: Toasts, tea/coffee, juice, eggs, cheese, honey, butter, jam, cornflakes, museli etc. Lunch: Midday meal is often a packed lunch that consist of fried rice or noodles, boiled potatoes, vegetables and fruits. Our cook and staff also provide with hot lemon tea if you are on long trek. In the evening at the campsite, almost immediately on your arrival, tea/coffee is provided with little snacks, while the cooks prepare your dinner.
Dinner: Dinner consist of full course comprising of soup, 3-5 varieties of dishes, followed by desserts and Tea/Coffee. The main course dinner include rice dish, a potato dish or, frequently both, meat and vegetables. Sometimes the cooks will prepare Tibetan Momos or dumplings and other delicacies.
